Anyways, in this post I will be discussing and explaining one of the most devastating events not only in Black history but American history that is usually overlooked and that is the Rosewood Massacre in 1923. Philomena Goins Doctor died in 1991. Her son Arnett was, by that time, "obsessed" with the events in Rosewood. Although he was originally excluded from the Rosewood claims case, he was included after this was revealed by publicity. By that point, the case had been taken on a pro bono basis by one of Florida's largest legal firms.
