WebSep 26, 2024 · I have a 2024 Ford Focus Titanium X, the clutch pedal is not always returning after changing gear, the clutch pedal will remain down and I have to use my foot to manually bring the pedal back ready to change gear again. I’ve spoken to a couple of garages and been advised the pedal needs a new spring but it comes with a new pedal kit. "WebJan 11, 2024 · There are 2 return springs fitted to the clutch pedal. One is a plastic moulding with a internal spring that tips off centre to almost lock the pedal in the upmost position. The top hat part wears in time. This will be your problem. Spring kit is under a tenner. Prepare to loose the will to live whilst re fitting the new spring.
